Text Box: There are no health concerns related with UV disinfection of water currently as it removes 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses including cryptosporidium and hepatitis virus. There are no micro organisms known to be ineffective to UV disinfection systems. Enteric viruses, hepatitis virus and Legionella pneumophila can withstand long periods of time in chlorine but cannot withstand in UV systems.
